Growing up with a love for interior design, architecture and unique accessories inspired by her architect father's 40-year career, Maelisa founded MCID Interiors after more than 20 years in the retail industry. She chose to express her love of design, color, and self-expression in the retail world of fragrance, cosmetics and apparel, held various roles and amassed valuable skill sets that she has transitioned into a successful Interior Decorating business. She is naturally talented with a unique perspective on home interior due to her background in visual merchandising, mapping, product assortment, and accessorizing with some of the world's most recognized and respected brands.

I chose to work with MCID because they offer a Restore and Refresh package. My space was cluttered and disorganized with many pieces that did not work together in the same room. I wanted my space to feel relaxing and peaceful with a cultural vibe that represents where I live. The initial consultation provided me with the opportunity to share what I wanted and to understand what needed to be done to achieve my design goals. MCID helped me to keep what worked for my vision and "divorce" existing pieces that did not fit with the new palate for my space. The personal shopping experience was a bonus.
